| I received a camera as a gift when I was a young child. I remember taking pictures of everything – my grandparents, the animals at the zoo, family members… I later went on to be a member of the yearbook staff in middle school, where I continued to develop my photographic skills. I became truly passionate about photography as a sophomore in high school. I fell in love with everything about the art form – right down to the “click” my camera makes as it permanently records an image. After graduating from high school, I seriously began to explore the art of portrait photography and quickly realized that this is where my passion truly lies. I love being able to look through the viewfinder and tell a story about the person or people on the other side of the camera. I love what I do, and it reflects in every image I create. I worked for 2 large portrait studios, but soon came to realize that a large studio environment did not allow me to devote the necessary time and creativity to each individual portrait session. I wanted to have creative control over the final image that the client receives. I made it a goal to one day open a studio that would allow me to devote the time necessary to ensure that each and every client receives the individual attention they deserve. After giving birth to my daughter, I learned just how quickly children change. Features and facial expressions that you cherish and think you’ll remember forever are soon forgotten. I now understand how important it is to capture these moments in a portrait so that they can be remembered forever. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Together, we can create memorable portraits that will be cherished and shared with future generations!
